Robin
Cook is a leading member of the British Labour Party, and has been Britains
Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs since 1997. During
that time there have been persistent rumours that he is, in fact, a Gnome.
These
rumours were strongly denied until recently when, in a development which
shocked and surprised the international press, Foreign Secretary Cook came
out of the closet and appeared in public for the first time wearing a Gnome'ish
red cap. The opposition Conservative party were quick to question the role
of Gnomes in public life but Cook, speaking from beneath a toadstool in
the country, said .."New Labour is about equality for all, even Gnomes,
and in the future you will see more of us in politics".
